Hastelloy C-22 (UNS N06022, W.Nr. 2.4602, GB NS3308, EN NiCr21Mo14W) es la aleacion mas versatil de la familia Hastelloy serie C. A diferencia de las aleaciones serie B (base Ni-Mo), el C-22 incorpora cromo (20-22.5%), molibdeno (12.5-14.5%) y wolframio (2.5-3.5%), lo que le confiere resistencia simultanea excepcional tanto en medios oxidantes como reductores. Este perfil dual la convierte en la opcion preferente para procesos quimicos con condiciones mixtas o variables. Perfil de la Aleacion Hastelloy C-22

Donde las aleaciones serie B destacan en medios puramente reductores (HCl, H2SO4 no oxidante) y las serie C tradicionales en medios oxidantes, la Hastelloy C-22 ofrece el espectro mas amplio de resistencia a la corrosion de toda la familia. Su alto contenido de cromo le proporciona resistencia excepcional a medios oxidantes como acido nitrico, cloruro ferrico, cloruro cuprico y cloro humedo, mientras que el molibdeno y el wolframio garantizan tolerancia en medios reductores. Es uno de los pocos materiales capaces de resistir cloro humedo, hipocloritos y dioxido de cloro. Su diseno de ultra bajo carbono (max. 0.015%) previene la precipitacion de carburos en la ZAT, permitiendo su uso en estado soldado sin tratamiento termico posterior. Industrias objetivo: procesamiento quimico, farmaceutico, control de contaminacion, incineracion de residuos, produccion de acido fosforico, energia geotermica y desulfuracion de gases (FGD). El C-22 representa la cima de la ingenieria de aleaciones Ni-Cr-Mo-W: el alto cromo protege en medios oxidantes, el molibdeno en reductores, y el wolframio potencia ambos mecanismos simultaneamente. El alto Cr (20-22.5%) es el responsable de la excepcional resistencia a medios oxidantes como HNO3, cloruro ferrico y cloro humedo. El Mo (12.5-14.5%) y W (2.5-3.5%) actuan sinergicamente en medios reductores y contra la corrosion por picaduras y resquicios. SHUNFU METAL controla estos tres elementos dentro de bandas internas mas estrechas que la norma para garantizar consistencia de desempeno lote a lote, documentado en el certificado de analisis ISO 9001.

Propiedades Mecanicas de Hastelloy C-22 (Recocido por Solucion)

Tratamiento termico: recocido por solucion a 1120-1175 °C seguido de temple en agua rapido. Este ciclo disuelve carburos y fases secundarias en la matriz austenitica, maximizando resistencia a la corrosion y ductilidad. La temperatura de forja se situa en 1000-1230 °C, evitando trabajar por debajo de 870 °C para prevenir crecimiento anormal de grano. El laboratorio de SHUNFU METAL certifica cada lote bajo API Q1 mediante ensayos ASTM E8 (traccion) y ASTM E18 (dureza) sobre probetas extraidas segun la orientacion y seccion solicitadas.

Gracias a su alto contenido de elementos refractarios (Cr+Mo+W), el C-22 conserva propiedades mecanicas utiles hasta 925 °C (resistencia a la traccion de 15 MPa a 1000 h a 980 °C). Es apto para servicio en ambientes amargos segun NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156-3 nivel VII con dureza maxima de 35 HRC. Su baja permeabilidad magnetica (menor de 1.001) lo hace adecuado para aplicaciones que requieren no magneticidad.
