Incoloy 925 (UNS N09925, W.Nr. 2.4852, EN NiCr20Mo10, GB NS2401) es una aleacion niquel-hierro-cromo endurecible por precipitacion, diseñada para aplicaciones que requieren simultaneamente alta resistencia mecanica y resistencia a la corrosion en servicio amargo con H2S. A diferencia de todos los grados anteriores de la familia Incoloy e Hastelloy —que son de endurecimiento por solucion solida— el Incoloy 925 desarrolla su resistencia mediante un tratamiento termico de envejecimiento que precipita finas particulas de fase gamma prima Ni3(Al,Ti), duplicando su limite elastico respecto a la condicion recocida. Perfil de la Aleacion Incoloy 925

El Incoloy 925 ocupa un nicho unico: combina la resistencia a la corrosion del Incoloy 825 con una resistencia mecanica cercana a la del Inconel 718, gracias a su capacidad de endurecimiento por precipitacion. El titanio (1.9-2.4%) y aluminio (0.1-0.5%) forman la fase gamma prima Ni3(Al,Ti) durante el envejecimiento a 620-740 °C, elevando el limite elastico de ~345 MPa (recocido) a mas de 758 MPa (envejecido). El alto niquel (42-46%) garantiza inmunidad a la corrosion bajo tension por cloruros (SCC), mientras que el molibdeno y cobre refuerzan la resistencia a picaduras y medios reductores. Calificada para servicio amargo con H2S hasta 1000 psi, 204 °C y cloruros ilimitados, con dureza maxima de 35 HRC segun NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156-3. Estructura completamente austenitica y esencialmente amagnetica. Industrias objetivo: equipos de fondo de pozo en gas amargo (HPHT), valvulas de seguridad, colgadores de tuberia, sistemas de cabeza de pozo API 6A y fijaciones de alta resistencia offshore. SHUNFU METAL produce Incoloy 925 mediante fusion VIM + ESR con control de la relacion Ti/Al y analisis OES en cada colada, conforme ASTM B805 y B983.

Como aleacion endurecible por precipitacion con aplicacion principal en petroleo y gas, el Incoloy 925 esta regido por normas API y NACE ademas de los estandares ASTM habituales. Composicion Quimica de Incoloy 925 (ASTM B805)

La clave del Incoloy 925 es su sistema de endurecimiento por precipitacion: el titanio (1.9-2.4%) y el aluminio (0.1-0.5%) forman la fase gamma prima Ni3(Al,Ti) durante el envejecimiento termico, elevando la resistencia mecanica sin comprometer la resistencia a la corrosion. Esta es la caracteristica que lo diferencia de todos los demas grados de la familia Incoloy (825, 800, 20) que son exclusivamente de solucion solida. La fusion en SHUNFU METAL se realiza por VIM + ESR con control estricto de la relacion Ti/Al —parametro critico para el desempeño del envejecimiento— verificada mediante analisis OES en cada colada.

El sistema Ti+Al es el corazon de la aleacion: durante el envejecimiento a 620-740 °C, estos elementos precipitan como particulas nanometricas de fase gamma prima Ni3(Al,Ti) coherentes con la matriz austenitica, que bloquean el movimiento de dislocaciones y duplican el limite elastico respecto a la condicion recocida. Un exceso de envejecimiento (>740 °C) provoca la transformacion a fase eta Ni3Ti incoherente con caida de resistencia. SHUNFU METAL controla la relacion Ti/Al y el ciclo de envejecimiento como parametros criticos de calidad, documentados en el certificado de cada colada bajo el sistema ISO 9001.

Propiedades Mecanicas de Incoloy 925 (Envejecido por Precipitacion)

Ciclo termico estandar: recocido por solucion a 1010-1040 °C con temple en agua, seguido de envejecimiento en dos etapas (740 °C/8 h + enfriamiento controlado en horno hasta 621 °C + 621 °C/8 h + enfriamiento al aire). La precipitacion de gamma prima durante el envejecimiento eleva la resistencia drasticamente frente a la condicion recocida. Los valores mostrados corresponden a la condicion envejecida segun ASTM B805. El laboratorio de SHUNFU METAL, acreditado bajo API Q1, certifica cada lote con ensayos de traccion ASTM E8, dureza ASTM E18 e impacto Charpy ASTM E23 a -46 °C y -101 °C.
