Incoloy 800 (UNS N08800, W.Nr. 1.4876, EN X10NiCrAlTi32-21, GB NS1101) es la aleacion hierro-niquel-cromo austenitica de referencia para aplicaciones de alta temperatura hasta 816 °C. Con aproximadamente 32% de niquel, 21% de cromo y 45% de hierro, ocupa una posicion estrategica entre los aceros inoxidables austeniticos (310S) y las aleaciones base niquel (Inconel 600), ofreciendo un equilibrio optimo entre resistencia a la oxidacion y carburizacion en caliente y coste del material. Desarrollada originalmente para vainas de elementos calefactores electricos, su campo de aplicacion se ha expandido a hornos industriales, tuberias de pirolisis petroquimica y tubos de generadores de vapor nucleares. Perfil de la Aleacion Incoloy 800

El Incoloy 800 pertenece a una categoria distinta de las aleaciones resistentes a la corrosion acuosa: es una aleacion diseñada primordialmente para servicio a alta temperatura en atmosferas oxidantes, carburizantes y sulfidantes. Su contenido de cromo (19-23%) forma una capa protectora de Cr2O3 que resiste la oxidacion hasta 816 °C en servicio continuo, mientras que el niquel (30-35%) estabiliza la estructura austenitica y proporciona resistencia al agrietamiento por corrosion bajo tension en medios acuosos con cloruros. Las adiciones de aluminio y titanio (0.15-0.60% cada uno) refinan el grano y mejoran la resistencia a la carburizacion. A diferencia de los grados 800H y 800HT —optimizados para resistencia a la fluencia mediante mayor contenido de carbono— el 800 es la version de proposito general con excelente ductilidad y conformabilidad. Resiste acido nitrico hasta 70% de concentracion en ebullicion y acidos organicos como formico, acetico y propionico. No esta diseñado para acidos reductores fuertes (HCl, H2SO4). Industrias objetivo: tratamiento termico, hornos industriales, petroquimica (pirolisis y reformado), generacion de energia, nuclear, electrodomesticos y procesamiento de alimentos. El Incoloy 800 es el material de referencia cuando se necesita resistencia a la oxidacion en caliente a un coste inferior al de las aleaciones base niquel. Para aplicaciones que requieran mayor resistencia a la fluencia por encima de 593 °C se recomienda considerar los grados 800H y 800HT. Composicion Quimica de Incoloy 800 (ASTM B409)

El Incoloy 800 es una aleacion de transicion: con un 45% de hierro resulta significativamente mas economica que las aleaciones base niquel, pero su 32% de niquel le confiere una estabilidad austenitica y resistencia al SCC muy superiores a los aceros inoxidables. El aluminio y titanio trabajan sinergicamente para refinar el grano y formar una capa interna de alumina bajo la capa externa de cromia, mejorando la resistencia a la carburizacion. La relacion Al+Ti (tipicamente 0.30-1.20%) es el parametro de control mas relevante para el comportamiento a alta temperatura. El aluminio difunde hacia la superficie durante el servicio en caliente formando una subcapa de Al2O3 bajo la capa externa de Cr2O3, bloqueando la entrada de carbono y previniendo la carburizacion interna. Los grados 800H (C 0.05-0.10%) y 800HT (C 0.06-0.10% + Al+Ti 0.85-1.20%) optimizan esta caracteristica para maximizar la resistencia a la fluencia. Propiedades Mecanicas de Incoloy 800 (Recocido por Solucion)

Tratamiento termico: recocido por solucion a 980-1065 °C con enfriamiento rapido. La estructura austenitica resultante ofrece buena ductilidad y conformabilidad. A diferencia de los grados endurecibles por precipitacion, el 800 mantiene sus propiedades casi constantes en un amplio rango de temperaturas, con caida gradual de la resistencia por encima de 600 °C. El laboratorio de SHUNFU METAL certifica cada lote mediante ensayos ASTM E8 y dureza ASTM E18 bajo el sistema de calidad API Q1.

La resistencia mecanica se mantiene util hasta 816 °C en servicio continuo. Por encima de 600 °C, la resistencia a la fluencia pasa a ser el criterio limitante; para esas condiciones se recomiendan los grados 800H y 800HT. Las propiedades tipicas del 800 a 600 °C son: traccion ~400 MPa, limite elastico ~150 MPa. La aleacion es completamente amagnetica en estado recocido y soldable por todos los metodos convencionales con material de aporte ERNiCr-3 (TIG/MIG) o ENiCrFe-2 (electrodo).
