Haynes 230 (UNS N06230 / W.-Nr. 2.4733) es una aleacion de niquel-cromo-tungsteno-molibdeno reforzada por solucion solida, enriquecida con lantano para anclar la capa de oxido protectora. Su contenido de tungsteno del 14 % —el mas alto entre las superaleaciones de niquel— le confiere una resistencia a la fluencia excepcional, mientras que el lantano (La) evita el descascarillado por ciclos termicos repetitivos, permitiendo servicio continuo en atmosferas oxidantes y nitrurantes hasta 1,149 C. Haynes 230 — Vision General

El Haynes 230 representa un salto generacional frente a aleaciones clasicas como Hastelloy X y Inconel 617. Mientras que el Hastelloy X sufre fragilizacion tras miles de horas a alta temperatura por la precipitacion de fases fragiles, y el Inconel 617 depende de un costoso 10-15 % de cobalto para su resistencia a la fluencia, el Haynes 230 sustituye el cobalto por tungsteno (14 %) y anade lantano como elemento de anclaje de oxido, logrando una estabilidad termica demostrada durante 16,000 horas sin fragilizacion en el rango critico de 650-870 C. Su expansion termica es inferior a la de la mayoria de las superaleaciones, reduciendo la fatiga termica en componentes sometidos a arranques y paradas frecuentes. El bajo contenido de hierro (≤ 3 %) y cobalto (≤ 5 %) previene la formacion de fases TCP fragilizantes, garantizando estabilidad microestructural tras exposiciones superiores a 16,000 horas.
